Suspect in fatal 2019 car crash in court

The trial is currently beginning of a suspect charged in connection with a 2019 car crash that left three people dead and three others injured.

Authorities said that in October 2019, Kobie Stillwell, then 18, was arrested with a at high speed on Morse Road near Sunbury Road and struck another vehicle, which in turn struck a parked car.

Three people, including a passenger in Stillwell's car and a mother and daughter in another car, were killed and three others were injured in the accident.

After the incident, Stillwell was charged with three counts of aggravated manslaughter and one count of assault. A firearm was found in all cases, as a pistol was also found in the back seat.

In their opening statements, prosecutors argued that Stillwell was traveling at 119 miles per hour when the accident occurred.
