Alec Baldwin's reality show reportedly in trouble: “It's a disaster”

The legendary actor Alec Baldwin doesn't seem to have what it takes to be on reality TV. It's clear that the Hollywood star took his role as a reality TV star seriously. It didn't go unnoticed that he brought a whole film crew to his manslaughter trial. While Alec might think that the cameras following him every day are a great stunt, most fans would argue that the whole stunt is in poor taste.

According to Radar Online, the 30 Rock actor doesn't understand the concept of reality TV. In fact, he “gets on everyone's nerves.” A crew member close to the show said, “Alec thinks he's making a movie, not a cheap reality show.” It sounds like he could learn a lot from the Real Housewives franchise. The insider said, “He doesn't seem to understand that there's no script and no lines to learn.”

This source also claimed that Alec was “as arrogant as ever” on the set of The Baldwins. The insider shared, “The problem with Alec is that he thinks he knows everything best, from the plot to the camera angles to the lighting. It's a disaster!” The outlet previously reported that Alec's wife, Hilaria Baldwin, was the one who lobbied for the television series.

When Hilaria insisted, Alec was still in the midst of a legal battle, having been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The director was killed on the set of Rust when a prop gun fired live ammunition. In July, a judge in New Mexico dismissed the manslaughter charge, saying it could not be retried.

The source claimed that Hilaria wants to “make herself and her family superstars. Hilaria is fascinated by the spotlight. And she wants to make herself and her family superstars and not just through being with Alec.”
