The man and woman, aged 89 and 85, were found shot to death in their home in the 600 block of Southwest 30th Terrace on March 22.

Her vehicle, a red 2014 Ford Fusion, was missing but was later found at a tow yard.

Newson was arrested on May 23 after he was found to have stolen the car and sold it to the car dealer, police said.

Police continued to investigate the murders and have now arrested Newson in connection with the killings.

Newson was found and arrested on Tuesday.

Police said the murders were still under investigation and they were working to determine whether there were any other suspects involved in the killings.
