HUGHESVILLE – A man driving a motorcycle and his passenger, his teenage stepson, were injured when the motorcycle struck an Open Road Cadillac SUV at about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Route 118 and Green Valley Road, about a mile east of here in Wolf Township, according to state police. Both vehicles were traveling east on Route 118, and the woman driving the SUV was stopped by a vehicle in front of her whose driver was waiting to turn onto Green Valley Road, police said.

Both cyclists were wearing helmets and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries, which did not appear life-threatening, police said.

Firefighters and ambulances from the township as well as from Picture Rocks, Muncy Area, Pennsdale and Loyalsock Township responded.

Firefighters managed to keep one lane open until about 11:40 a.m., after which both lanes were reopened.
