Accident in Santa Cruz County: CHP reports minor injuries after collision between driver and school bus with students on board

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) — In Santa Cruz County, a driver collided head-on with a school bus carrying more than 40 children.

The accident occurred on Tuesday morning near Watsonville.

According to authorities, there are minor injuries on the bus, but the exact number of passengers is unclear.

According to reports, the bus was carrying students from Aptos Junior and Aptos High School.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two people died in a wrong-way driving accident on State Route 85 in San Jose on Monday.

The driver of the car was handcuffed by police and taken to a local hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
