Adrian Colbert tells his tragic story in the latest “Hard Knocks” trailer

Tuesday's episode of “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears” shows a much deeper and sadder human side of the game of football. In the episode's latest trailer, cornerback Adrian Colbert Jr. tells a tragic story from his youth.

In a clip released by Max, Colbert recounted a tragic childhood accident in which he was hit by a car while riding his bike. Colbert overcame doubts from doctors who told him he would never play football again and has not only recovered from his accident but has now gone on to have a 7-year career in the NFL.

A heartbreaking story about Colbert has become a true redemption story for someone who was told he would never have the chance to play football again. After splitting his time between the University of Texas and the University of Miami (FL) during his college years, Colbert has built a fine professional career with the 49ers, Seahawks, Dolphins, Chiefs, Giants, Patriots, Jets, Browns, Titans and Bears.

Fans will have a chance to hear Colbert's full story and follow the Bears in the penultimate episode of “Hard Knocks,” premiering tonight at 8 p.m. CT on HBO and streaming on MAX.
