Pilot died in second plane crash Monday in northeast Nebraska, authorities say

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) — A pilot was killed in a plane crash in Wayne County, authorities said Tuesday.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred Monday morning near Wayne.

According to authorities, the pilot died on impact.

Law enforcement is still working to notify his family.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently investigating.

The crash was the second fatal plane crash in northeastern Nebraska on Monday.

Early this morning, a plane crashed near Crofton in Knox County.

The pilot, 73-year-old Joseph Rudloff of Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene.
