Man spat on in anti-Semitic incident on Upper East Side, police say

UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man accused of making anti-Semitic remarks and spitting on a man on the Upper East Side in July, NYPD officials said.

A 65-year-old man was walking near Fifth Avenue and East 68th Street around 5 p.m. on July 27 when a man approached him and began making anti-Semitic remarks. According to police, the man also ripped off the victim's face mask and spat in his face.

NYPD officials said their hate crimes task force was investigating.
