Off-duty Lebanese police officer killed in car crash

LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Brendan Myers, an off-duty Lebanon police officer who had been with the force for three years, was killed in a crash on Aviation Way on Tuesday.

Aviation Way was closed for an extended period yesterday while the accident was cleared. Lebanon police were on scene, but the Tennessee Highway Patrol was assigned to investigate.

The police department said in a Facebook post: “Officer Myers was incredibly passionate about serving this city and its citizens, and his love for this community was evident in his daily actions as a police officer. It is times like these that remind us how closely connected our community is.”

LPD asks the community to keep his family, loved ones and the department in their prayers.

Diapers for Diplomas program expands to MTSU

It's been a while since I've had to buy diapers for my boys (thank goodness!). But when I recently bought a pack for a baby shower, I was SHOCKED at the price. That's exactly why I hope anyone who needs help sees Jason's story about the growing Diapers for Diplomas program. Hats off to anyone pursuing a college degree and raising babies. Two tough jobs! Please help spread the word – it could make all the difference.
