Man shot during argument in hair salon in northwest Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia (Atlanta News First) – A murder investigation is underway in northwest Atlanta Wednesday morning.

Atlanta police said they received a call about a shooting just before 5 a.m. Officers responded and said there was a gathering at a barbershop in the 1000 block of Howell Mill Road. Two men got into an argument and one pulled out a gun and shot the other.

The victim was found dead at the scene. Police estimate he is in his late 30s to early 40s. His identification is currently underway.

The shooter fled before police arrived, but officials say he is “known.”

Police have cordoned off an area of ​​Howell Mill Road at 10th Street and are currently working to collect surveillance video and witness statements.
