More than 330,000 new clean energy jobs have been created in the two years since the Inflation Reduction Act was passed, according to a report released this week. Many of these jobs are well-paying, unionized positions that do not require a college degree, offering electricians, construction workers and mechanics the opportunity to work on innovative clean energy projects.

The increase in employment is due to the current administration's policies, which have sparked a significant boom in manufacturing and reduced costs for American families by improving access to affordable clean energy sources such as wind and solar power.

“Addressing the climate crisis is not just about protecting our environment, it's also about creating good-paying jobs for American workers,” the president said. “Thanks to our administration's policies, we're seeing a manufacturing boom that not only promotes clean energy but also lowers costs for families.”

Despite the obvious progress, the administration is facing resistance. Republicans in the House of Representatives have made numerous attempts to repeal the measures of the Inflation Control Act, even though more than half of the new jobs will be created in their constituencies.

The President reiterated his commitment to American families, saying, “I will continue to fight to lower utility bills and improve access to good-paying union jobs.”

As the country continues its transition to a more sustainable energy future, the creation of these new clean energy jobs represents a significant step toward achieving economic growth while tackling the climate crisis.
