The coming Broadway Death suits her well is planning some special box office celebrations for opening day, which will take place on September 10th at 10 a.m. at the Lunt-Fontanne.

Tickets for performances through November 7 are available at 50% off while supplies last. Opening day ticket buyers can also receive an iconic Siempre Viva pin and be entered into a drawing for a prize package that includes a pair of opening night tickets, a two-month subscription to Rent the Runway, a Frownies merchandise pack, and a one-year subscription to Peacock. Liquid Death keeps you hydrated.

The musical is based on the cult film. Performances are scheduled to begin on October 23, with the premiere on November 21.

Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard lead the company as Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp, two rivals who gain eternal youth through a magic potion with some unpleasant side effects. Christopher Sieber and Michelle Williams play Ernest Menville and Viola Van Horn. All four reprise their roles from the musical's opening act on Broadway in Chicago earlier this year.

The cast includes Marija Abney, Lauren Celentano, Sarita Colon, Kaleigh Cronin, Natalie Charle Ellis, Taurean Everett, Michael Graceffa, Neil Haskell, Kolton Krouse, Josh Lamon, Sarah Meahl, Ximone Rose, Sir Brock Warren, Bud Weber, Ryan Worsing and Warren Yang. The swingers Kyle Brown, Lakota Knuckle, Johanna Moise and Amy Quanbeck complete the cast. The casting is handled by Tara Rubin Casting.

The work features a book by Marco Pennette, adapted from a screenplay by Martin Donovan and David Koepp, and songs by Julia Mattison and Noel Carey. Newspaper boys Tony winner Christopher Gattelli is in charge of direction and choreography.

The production includes set design by Derek McLane, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Justin Townsend, sound design by Peter Hylenski, hair and wig design by Charles J. LaPointe, makeup design by Joe Dulude II, fight direction by Thomas Schall, music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, orchestrations by Doug Besterman, dance and incidental music arrangements by Sam Davis, and musical direction by Ben Cohn. Rachel Sterner will be the production's stage manager.

The 1992 film, directed and co-produced by Robert Zemeckis, was known for its relatively early use of CGI to create effects such as star Meryl Streep's head being turned completely backwards and a gaping hole created by her co-star Goldie Hawn. This musical version has been circulating since at least 2017, when Kristin Chenoweth was slated to star, then with a separate creative team.

The production is being handled by the Universal Theatrical Group – under the supervision of Jimmy Horowitz and the direction of Lowe Cunningham.
