Man found shot in Phoenix Alley

PHOENIX – The murder investigation is ongoing in Phoenix after a man was shot, according to police.

Phoenix police say 53-year-old Jesse Mayo Benich was found with a gunshot wound in an alley near 27th Avenue and Solano Drive around 6:50 a.m. on August 27.

Benich was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The homicide squad has taken over the investigation. Further details of this incident are still the subject of ongoing investigations,” police said.
