SEE: This is what it's like to visit Japan's famous snow corridor

Japan — A must-see for snow enthusiasts is a visit to the Tateyama Snow Corridor in Japan.

The 500-meter section of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Road has snow walls up to 20 meters high. The road is open from April to November, but if you want to see the walls, you should come between mid-April and June. It stays open until late November, but you don't get quite the mesmerizing experience as you do during times when the walls are huge. Due to the frequency of snowfall, the corridor is closed from early December to early April.

This month, YouTuber Wonder World covered the Tateyama experience. The video shows just how massive these walls are and what the journey to the corridor looks like.
