Preserving a person's legacy is crucial, especially in Black history where contributions can be overlooked. By preserving these stories, we honor the past and inspire future generations.

Remember the 102-year-old dancer's YouTube video of her younger self dancing on film for the first time? Her video has been viewed over 40 million times and has been featured on CBS Nightly News, NBC News, Times Magazine, Good Morning America, Washington Post and BuzzFeed.

Before Alice Barker became famous through this YouTube video, she was simply an old woman living in a nursing home with stories to tell and her story to share with others.

Alice Barker was a well-known African-American dancer in the 1940s. She was the house dancer at the legendary Café Zanzibar and also performed in all of Manhattan's exclusive nightclubs with musicians such as Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and all the greats!
