Bold prediction for Mike Tyson's fight against Jake Paul by Francis Ngannou

By Mohamed Bahaa

The boxing scene is abuzz with predictions and commentary as the highly anticipated fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul draws closer. Aside from the two boxers' differing experience levels, the fight, which will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, has garnered a lot of attention as Tyson returns to professional boxing after a nearly two-decade hiatus from the ring.

Officially, both fighters will have the fight on their records, as it is scheduled for eight rounds of two minutes each. Tyson, now 58, returns to the ring to face Paul, who has had a much shorter career in the sport, but is active and, more importantly, 30 years younger. Many have questioned whether Tyson can still compete at a high level, especially against a younger, more energetic opponent like Paul.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is a firm believer in Tyson's abilities. In his first boxing match against Tyson Fury, Ngannou recently vocally expressed his respect for Tyson's outstanding skills. Although Ngannou lost the fight on points, the MMA star knocked down the British boxer in his fight against Fury. Despite the result, Ngannou will never forget his performance and the guidance he received from Tyson during his training camp.

Speaking to the media, Ngannou said he had confidence that Tyson could handle Paul despite the age difference. “I think Tyson will still kick his ass.” Ngannou did not hold back his opinion: “He's definitely not who he was when he was young. But when he moves and shows you something, I'm like, 'What the hell is that?' I think that's something people don't understand about Mike Tyson – his footwork is still there. He can go from left to right in a flash.”

Ngannou didn't just let reporters know what he believed, he went a step further and told Paul point blank that he expected Tyson to knock him out. Paul now knows exactly how one of the sport's most feared fighters feels about the matter.

The fight has generated a lot of discussion and criticism, especially because of Tyson's age. The fight had to be postponed after Tyson had to postpone it due to injury. But the fight has been rescheduled for November 15th and both fighters are preparing for an unforgettable event.
