Jade Cargill reportedly gets in trouble at WWE show for wearing the wrong sports team's jersey

Jade Cargill had a spectacular start to her WWE career in September last year when she signed a contract with the Stamford-based company with a bigger heart. But the real highlight began with WWE Royal Rumble 2024 when Cargill stormed through the ring as a surprise entrant and delivered a stunning performance. The company recognized the enormous potential in her and immediately offered her a huge boost. Big Money Jade rose to the rank of Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Bianca Belair.

Although the run was short-lived as they eventually lost it to Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, the duo hope to reclaim the honor at the upcoming German PLE. They even went a step further on that path, scoring an effortless win over Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. The WWE Bash prep event in Berlin went smoothly for Cargill, aside from her choice of gear, which drew random boos.

In WWE, the way Superstars dress plays a big role in setting the tone of the entire match. Recently, Miz's bizarre American flag outfit at AEW All-In sparked major controversy among IWC. Tonight in Oberhausen, Cargill became the center of attention for her choice of clothing. The only difference, however, is that she received nothing but backlash, unlike the AEW star who sought to stir up the national mood by taking inspiration from the movie Rocky IV.

Cargill, 32, instead wanted to get a little more attention by wearing a Dortmund team jersey, not knowing that the team had a bad reputation in the Ruhr area, so boos were inevitable. A fan pointed this out to X and questioned her idiocy. “Jade Cargill wore a Dortmund jersey to her game in Oberhausen today to get cheap babyface pops. The problem is that Dortmund is hated in Oberhausen and everyone booed her. Who told her it was smart to wear a Dortmund jersey in the Ruhr area???” wrote the user.

However, Cargill delivered the negative aspects with a generous message and asked for patience, because the best is yet to come.

Jade Cargill's journey in WWE has been a whirlwind of emotions. The former champion said she wasn't nervous about performing in front of a WWE audience for the first time, but it was an unusual feeling to face so many people at once. She also thanked her teammates in the locker room who always gave her encouragement before entering the ring, and thanked Nick Khan and Triple H for helping her get her footing in the business.

However, as for the real backbone of the Superstars, the fans, Cargill asked them to keep believing in her as she and Belair are constantly trying to get the title back on their shoulders. So they need more patience and focus from the fans in the division to do their best. It will be interesting to see how Cargill will fare in her tag team run despite her unfamiliarity with the genre.
