Virginia police release name of man found dead in tanker trailer

UPDATE (28 August, 2:30 p.m.) — Virginia police have released the name of the man found dead in a tanker trailer in March.

The man's name is Justin Le Erickson. His body was found on March 7, 2024 at Wayne Transports in Virginia.

VIRGINIA, Minnesota – Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a tanker trailer late Thursday afternoon.

The Virginia Police Department said officers were dispatched to a medical call in the 1900 block of 15th Avenue South around 3:45 p.m. The call involved an unconscious 39-year-old man in a tanker trailer.

When the police arrived, they found the man dead.

According to police, it was reported that there may be hazardous materials at the scene of the accident or near the trailer. The Duluth Hazardous Material Response Team was deployed to assist with the incident. The Minnesota Department of Emergency Services and OSHA were also notified.

The incident is currently under investigation.
