MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Horry County man is facing charges for allegedly engaging in criminal activity online involving children.

According to records, Darin Ladin, 45, was arrested Tuesday on four counts of sexual abuse of a minor, two of which were second-degree charges and the other third-degree charges.

The Horry County Sheriff's Office said Ladin was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The department added that investigators received a tip about Ladin's online activity and he was arrested after executing a search warrant.

Jail records show Ladin was released on $4,000 bail and was released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Wednesday.
