Two people were killed in Monday's accident at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 13 and Main Street in Albert Lea, according to obituaries on a local funeral home's website.

Marva Ann Gullord, 81, who was a passenger in the 2016 Honda Pilot that collided with a 1997 Peterbilt semi-trailer at the intersection, died from injuries she sustained in the crash. Her driver, Roger Allen Jensen, 84, died at the scene.

A notice on the Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home website says Gullord died Monday and a memorial service is planned for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Viewing will be available one hour before the service begins.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol accident report website, Gullord was admitted to St. Marys Hospital Wednesday evening with life-threatening injuries.

According to the accident report, the Honda was traveling east on Freeborn County Road 46 while the tractor-trailer, driven by Gabriel Troy Schumacher, 21, of Lamberton, was traveling south on Minnesota Highway 13. The two vehicles collided at the intersection.

The State Patrol has not released any further details about the accident. The investigation is ongoing.

According to reports, all passengers were wearing seat belts and alcohol played no role.

Jensen's funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on September 5th at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home. Viewing will be available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on September 4th at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service.
