Vance prepares for his first campaign stop in northeast Wisconsin in De Pere

DE PERE (WLUK) — The Republican candidate for vice president will be in our area tonight hoping to sway voters.

For Ohio Senator JD Vance, this is his fourth trip to Wisconsin in the last 21 days, but his first to this part of the state.

Vance is scheduled to speak at 6:30 p.m. at AmeriLux International, a popular Republican campaign venue.

Donald Trump Jr. visited the building materials manufacturer in May on behalf of the candidate for the 8th Congressional District, Tony Wied.

Trump Jr. was also on AmeriLux just days before the 2020 election.

The Trump campaign team has announced that Vance will speak about the economy, inflation and energy in his speech today.

Vance was in Kenosha eight days ago and recently visited Eau Claire and Milwaukee.

Doors for today's event open at 3:30 p.m.

Supporters say they are eager to hear the Ohio senator's response.

Meanwhile, Democrats claim that Vance is pursuing an agenda that would only benefit the super-rich.

FOX 11's Ben Krumholz will preview the event at five on FOX 11 News and report on it at nine and ten on FOX 11 News.
