The participants in the Claim to fame they all have one thing in common – they have a famous relative.

To win the $100,000 grand prize, players must discover who their competitors are related to while keeping their own celebrity connection a secret. A clue wall, clues given during missions, and a wine cellar containing a clue for each player help contestants uncover the truth about each other's family trees.

Collecting information is crucial in Claim to famebecause players who are in the last two after the missions run the risk of becoming the guesser of the week. The guesser must correctly identify a relative of one of his competitors and send him home. If the guesser is wrong, he is automatically eliminated.

Claim to fame The premiere took place in 2022 and season 3 started on July 10. The winner of season 3 will follow in the footsteps of the season 1 champion. LC Palmerwho is Keke Palmer's sister and winner of the second season Gabriel Cannonwho is Nick Cannon's brother.

During the premiere of the third season of the ABC reality series, Bianca's colleagues chose her as the first judge. She was confident that Shane was connected with Wald Whitakerbut her guess was wrong, and it turned out that she was the niece of Good morning America'S Robin Roberts.

After her departure, Bianca told exclusively We weekly that Robin supported her reality TV dreams early on.

“Many, many years ago – my age shows this – I wanted to be there The real world”, she recalled. “And my aunt actually bought me a book for Christmas with the Real world application in it.”

Bianca added that her aunt told her to “be myself and have fun” on the show.

Jill Kurlfink and John Stamos

In Episode 2, Jill wrongly suspected that Miguel was connected with Antonio Banderas after some clever intrigues on Miguel's part. Miguel sensed that he could be the target of the house and made a plan for his ally Dedrick to “catch” him talking to himself about being a Banderas. The hoax spread quickly through the house and Jill believed the lie. After guessing wrong, it turned out that Jill's famous relative was Stamos.

Jill told exclusively Us that Stamos was “the first person to [she] called” after finding out she was in the running for season 3 of Claim to fame.

“He was like, 'This is incredible. You're going to be incredible.' He immediately turned into like a protective uncle who encouraged me, gave me advice and was there for me throughout the whole process,” she said. “I'm so proud of everything he's done and he's been there for me through some of the darkest times and I just hope I made him proud.”

Gracie Hyland and Jon Cryer

During the double elimination in Episode 2, Gracie mistakenly suspected that Adam is connected with Dustin Hoffman after receiving false information from NaomiShe was then identified as Jon Cryer's niece before she was eliminated.

Cryer made a guest appearance in Gracie's final episode, when he saw her Claim to fame house and asked if there had been a duck on the notice board, as an allusion to his Pretty in pink figure, Duckie. (There was actually a duck on the clue wall.)

“He was so committed since the day I was born,” Gracie said Us her uncle. “I don't live near him anymore, so I don't see him as often as I'd like, but he often comes to visit.”

Raphael “Miguel” Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis

In episode 3, Miguel revealed his full name as Raphael Miguel Curtis. He chose his middle name to make people think his celebrity relative was Latinx, and it worked. After Miguel mistakenly guessed that Dedrick is related to Little RichardIt turned out that Jamie Lee was his aunt, something none of his competitors had expected.

After his elimination, Miguel told exclusively Us that he “didn’t necessarily” have a close relationship with Jamie Lee in his youth.

“We are a family. We love and support each other, but I was never there [her]well, constantly,” he explained. “It was always something like visits and maybe vacations or something like that, but never really practically or in person most of the time.”

Even though they didn't see each other regularly, Miguel spoke openly on the show about how Jamie Lee helped his family through a difficult time.

“When I was younger, my mother ended up in the hospital [and] was going through really tough times and my famous relative stepped in to help,” he said during a confession.

Naomi Burns and Molly Ringwald

Naomi's elimination in Episode 4 was the first correct guess of the season, although Adam had to write Ringwald's name on his hand to remember it during the guessing game. Naomi's ally Hud gave Adam the information after becoming paranoid because he thought Naomi had a lead for his prominent relative, even though their alliance's only agreement was to collect and protect each other's leads.

Naomi, Ringwald’s cousin, told exclusively Us after her elimination that she would not have participated in the show without Ringwald's consent.

“I have so much respect for Molly that I would never have thought of doing this if she had not agreed to it. I needed her approval myself,” she explained. “She [was] along the lines of, 'As long as you respect my privacy like you always have, everything is fine. Have fun.'”

Siggy Jackson, Jr. (aka Dedrick) and Michael Jackson

Dedrick (real name Siggy) gave his celebrity relative a clear hint early in the competition when he accidentally referred to himself as Mr. Jackson in front of several other contestants. Some players took the slip-up as proof of Dedrick's connection to the King of Pop, while others thought his celebrity relative might Randy JacksonThe truth came to light in episode 5 when Dedrick was chosen as a judge.

Although Dedrick had access to Danny's hint and therefore had strong reason to believe that he is related to Marc AnthonyDedrick ultimately decided to attack Adam instead. He wrongly suspected that Adam was related to Owen Wilsonand it turned out that he was the nephew of the late “Beat It” singer.

Dedrick is the son of the founding member of the Jackson 5 Jackie Jackson and Jackie’s first wife, Enid Arden Spann.

After Adam won the last challenge in the season finale, he decided to target Mackenzie first, and Trace turned out to be her father. Mackenzie told Us that her father was “really supportive” of her participation in the show and gave her “great advice”.

Trace meanwhile said Us He said he was “completely confident” that Mackenzie would be successful in the ABC reality series.

Hud was Adam’s second target in the season finale and it turned out that he was the son of the “Jack & Diane” singer.

“One of the things [my dad] told me for the show, and I think that applies everywhere: Just be true to yourself,” said Hud Us. “He's very supportive and always says, 'You better go out there and try to win, but let's keep everything kosher, let's keep everything true to yourself.'”

Adam Christopherson and Michael Bolton

Adam was crowned the Season 3 champion after correctly guessing Mackenzie and Hud's relatives, then it was revealed that he was Bolton's nephew.

“I haven’t told anyone this, but I’m smitten with my own uncle,” said Adam Us. “For example, we go golfing and I'm not sure how to talk to him. He'll say, 'Oh, I played golf with Michael Jordan' … and I'll say, 'Uh, huh.' That's just how it's always been.”

Adam added that the Grammy-winning singer was “always proud” of him.
