Macomb County man accused of taking explicit photos of 7-year-old child

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI. – A Macomb County man faces charges for taking sexually explicit photos of a 7-year-old child, officials said.

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 6:12 p.m., officers were called to a home in Chesterfield Township.

They said they learned that Shane Michael-Frank Werner, 26, of Chesterfield Township, took sexually explicit photographs of a seven-year-old child.

Police went to Werner's nearby house and took him into custody without further incident, it was said.

He is accused of aggravated sexual abuse of children, aggravated possession of material depicting sexually abusive children, and molestation of children for immoral purposes.

Werner was arraigned Wednesday in 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore and ordered held on $100,000 bail.

He is being held in the Macomb County Jail.
