DEPUTIES JAIL TRANSIENT FOLLOWING RESTRAINING ORDER VIOLATION – KQEN News Radio

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office jailed a transient following a restraining order violation on Tuesday night.

A DCSO report said at 7:30 pm a deputy responded to the 2000 block of Ireland Road in Winston to serve 38-year-old Tabitha Jones with a restraining order. Upon arriving, Jones allegedly walked away on private property and then came back. Jones advised that a protected person had left the area to hide. She admitted to being with that person for most of the day, and knows there is an active restraining order, restraining her from being around that person.

The deputy knew another deputy had probable cause for Jones' arrest on a number of other crimes. She was taken into custody. At the jail, Jones admitted to stealing the victim's debit card to steal money out of his account. She was charged with first-degree theft, identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, computer crime, and violation of a restraining order. Jones was detained without bail and was released on Wednesday.
