“Merab Dvalishvili will stop Sean O’Malley”

And new! That's what Henry Cejudo believes Bruce Buffer will announce at the end of the bantamweight title fight between Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306.

O'Malley (18-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) and Dvalishvili (17-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) will meet in the main event on September 14 at the Sphere in Las Vegas (ESPN+ Pay-per-View, ESPNews).

The highly anticipated fight will be O'Malley's second title defense and, according to former division king Cejudo, his last – at least during his current championship reign.

“That's my prediction,” Cejudo told MMA Junkie. “Merab Dvalishvili will stop Sean O'Malley at the Sphere. He'll beat him. Either 50-45, maybe not 50-45 because he might lose the first two rounds or at least the first. He'll beat him, but once Umar (Nurmagomedov) gets in, he'll just finish Merab. He really is. Umar is really good, really technical.”

As for what's next for Cejudo (16-4 MMA, 10-4), “Triple C” revealed that he's considering a possible return to flyweight. The former two-weight UFC champion still wants to win back a belt and sees it as a tough road in the 135-pound division.

Am I just going to fight for the sake of fighting? Or am I going to chase something?” Cejudo said. “I'm after gold now and I think if I go down to 125 pounds and stay disciplined, I just don't think anyone in the world can beat me.”
