Vettaiyan: Makers of Rajinikanth-starrer action drama let BTS share glimpses of Thalaivar exuding swag during dubbing session

Legendary actor Rajinikanth's upcoming film Vettaiyan has been in the news for all the right reasons. The diehard fans of Thalaiva have been waiting for this one film since its release. Ahead of the release of Vettaiyan, the makers have released an exciting update about the film. Yes, you read that right! The makers of the film starring Rajinikanth have released an exciting BTS video of Rajinikanth from the dubbing session. In the previously unreleased video, the superstar is seen with his timeless demeanor and style. Watch the video here!


In the video, Rajinikanth looks as dashing as ever even in his casual off-duty look. The Coolie actor has opted for an all-white outfit comprising of a white vesti and a white shirt. The behind-the-scenes video shows the superstar arriving at the studios for dubbing in his luxurious car, followed by Rajinikanth greeting the technical team of Vettaiyan and director TJ Gnanavel.

The highlight of the video shared by the makers is undoubtedly when Rajinikanth delivers a dialogue from the film in his popular baritone. Moreover, he seems to be impressed with the entire process and towards the end of the video he says, “Mr. Director, Dear Sir (loosely translated)”. Rajinikanth also saluted the filmmaker as a sign of his deep admiration for him.

According to several media reports, Rajinikanth will play the role of a retired cop in Vettaiyan. His character will be tasked with solving a dark secret. The word Vettaiyan means hunter, which adds an extra layer of adventure to the upcoming film.

Besides Rajinikanth, the multi-starrer film features some of the most famous and talented names in Indian cinema including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan and others. It is worth mentioning that Vettaiyan marks Amitabh Bachchan's debut in Tamil cinema.

Vettaiyan was shot in several Indian cities including Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai. Vettaiyaan was directed by TJ Gnanavel and was initially announced under the tentative title Thalaivar 170 as it is Rajinikanth's 170th film.
