On Saturday, Italian businessman Massimo Vidoni posted the sad news in an Instagram post. “Just received the shocking news. Chef Mussie has passed away. RIP Mussie, we will always remember you. My condolences to the family,” he wrote.

“The world is going crazy! Chef Mussie was one of the nicest, calmest people I have ever met. He wouldn't hurt a fly. So sad,” said Vidoni, popularly known as the “Truffle Man of Dubai.”

“Working with him over the last four years was a real pleasure. He always had the unmistakable class of a great chef. Always positive. Knowing you went down that path was just absurd. RIP,” he added.

Dubai-based content creators who met Imnetu were also heartbroken.

Marie-Claire Accordino described the chef as “the kindest soul” in a comment on Instagram. Influencer Leyla Brunton also said: “He was such a kind person, RIP.”

Imnetu, a Swedish national living in Dubai, was visiting London on business. He worked as head chef at the Brasserie at Arts Club Dubai and had previously held positions at top London venues including Oblix at The Shard and The Savoy Grill. According to the Arts Club Dubai website, he had also trained under renowned chefs such as Alain Ducasse, Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing.

Police have arrested a 31-year-old man from Newham on suspicion of attempted murder. The suspect remains in custody at a south London police station. Imnetu's family is being supported by specialist officers as the investigation continues, media reports said.

Despite the arrest, authorities are still keen to speak to witnesses to the attack. Visitors to the venue reportedly attempted to intervene and police are asking them to come forward with any details that could assist the investigation. The incident occurred on a day when 230 people were arrested at the Notting Hill Carnival.
