Police: Bennington man arrested for drunk driving

According to Vermont State Police, 65-year-old Paul Terwilliger was arrested Friday evening for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended.

Police were notified of a possible drunk driver in the area of ​​US Route 7 near Raymond Road in Mount Tabor, VT around 6 p.m.

State police said they noticed several signs of impairment when they stopped Terwilliger.

He was arrested after his license was suspended for drunk driving and driving under the influence, police said.

According to the authorities, an arrest warrant was also issued against Terwilliger.

According to police, Terwilliger was taken into custody, transported to Rutland Barracks for case processing and lodged in Marble Valley for lack of bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Rutland Superior Court on September 16.
