Three children and a man were found dead in a house in Staines-upon-Thames, police cited the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

Police discovered their bodies at around 1.15pm on Saturday at a property in Bremer Road, Staines-Upon-Thames.

The circumstances of her death are currently under investigation, but Surrey Police believe it was an isolated incident with no third party involvement.

Based on previous police contact with those involved, the police have also made a mandatory report to the police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

Bremer Straße is currently closed.

Chief Inspector Lucy Sanders said: “This is a tragic loss of life in our community and we are working to establish exactly what happened.”

“There is currently a significant police presence on site and in the surrounding area and we would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding while we carry out our investigations.”

An IOPC spokesman said: “We have been informed today by Surrey Police of the tragic incident in Spelthorne.

“We will consider a police referral to decide whether action is required by the IOPC.”
