Death of Israeli hostages confirmed after army finds six bodies in Gaza

The deaths of three Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip were confirmed by their families, just hours after the Israeli army said it had found six bodies in the area.

Relatives have paid tribute to Ori Danino, Eden Yerushalmi and Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who were kidnapped by Hamas-led militants on October 7.

US President Joe Biden said he was “devastated and outraged” by the news.

“It is as tragic as it is reprehensible. Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes,” he said.

“And we will continue to work around the clock to reach an agreement that will ensure the release of the remaining hostages.”
