Bremer Road Surrey: Man and three small children found dead

The South East Coast Ambulance Service was called to a house in Bremer Road, Spelthorne, Staines-upon-Thames, where they found the four bodies.

Surrey Police are investigating the deaths.

At this point in time, it is assumed that this was an “isolated case without the involvement of third parties”.

It has now been confirmed that the children and the man were related and all three children were under four years old.

Autopsies and formal identifications are being performed.

The children's mother and next of kin have been informed of the incident and are being supported by specialist officers. Surrey Police ask that their privacy be respected.

Surrey Police have also made a mandatory report to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as they had already had contact with those involved in August 2023.

DCI Gareth Hicks, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is a truly tragic incident and thorough investigations are being carried out to establish exactly what happened.”

“We would like to thank the local community for their support and understanding during our investigation.

“We can now also announce that Bremer Road, which was closed for an extended period yesterday, is now fully reopened and there will continue to be a police presence in the area for the foreseeable future.”
