Swansea: Woman charged with murder of 6-year-old boy and attempted murder of man on same day | UK news

A woman is accused of murdering a six-year-old boy.

Karolina Zurawska, 41, has been charged with the murder of Alexander Zurawski, who died at a property in Swansea on Thursday, South Wales Police said.

She was also charged with attempted murder in connection with an incident that same day involving a 67-year-old man.

She will appear before Swansea Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

In a statement from South Wales Police, Alexander's family said: “Alexander was a very friendly child.

“He loved playing with his little sister and his dog 'Daisy'.

“Alexander was always well-behaved and never naughty.

“He was very smart and very mature for his age. He had a lot of expertise.

“Alexander was always helpful. Always ready to help with cooking and cleaning.

“Alexander spoke both English and Polish and often corrected his parents with their English when they mispronounced words.

“He was incredible.”
