New York is better than LA

Justin Theroux does not live in Los Angeles because he wants to avoid the constant reminder of the film industry.

The US actor explains that he prefers to live in New York and stay away from the glitz of Hollywood when he is not in front of the camera, as it gives him the “freedom” to meet people from other professions.

In an interview with People magazine, the 53-year-old said: “When you’re in the industry, it’s really nice [das nicht] unless you're actively making something. That's why I don't live in Los Angeles, because you're constantly reminded that you're in the business. In New York, you have the space to meet people who are doing something different. You can meet painters, dancers, writers, investment bankers, whatever. I feel like I have a more fulfilling life in New York.”

Justin plays the role of Rory in the new film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Tim Burton's long-awaited sequel to the 1988 film Beetlejuice. In the interview, he reveals how much he and co-star Winona Ryder are excited about the outfits for their characters. “Being on set and seeing Winona in her black petticoat dress and her black bangs and her smokey eye, that was just fun.” “I think both Winona and I were so excited about our wardrobe,” the star raves.
