Harry Potter Star Bonnie Wright, who played the role of Ginny Weasley, has some thoughts on the upcoming TV adaptation of the Warner Bros. franchise.

In conversation with diversity on Sunday, 1 September in Back to Hogwarts Event at New York's Grand Central Terminal, she expressed a special wish for the upcoming television series.

It is important to mention that JK Rowling’s mega-hit novel “Harry Potter” is being adapted into a television series by HBO.

Bonnie said that she would like to see scenes in the upcoming series that did not make it into the original films.

“So many things. More about the development of Ginny and Harry's relationship. There are nuanced moments where they start to fall in love,” she told the outlet.

At the event, the 33-year-old actress led the legendary countdown, during which the students of Hogwarts board the train to the magic school every year.

She continued: “I'm thinking more about the development of her character into a really loyal companion to Harry, that she really understands and knows his history and his personality and is the best partner for him.”

Bonnie added: “I just hope we get to see the development of this character – and many other characters. If only we had five-hour movies.”

“There are so many characters from the books, Neville and Luna, that I love moments with, so as a fan of the books, I hope I get to see more of that,” she added.

The HBO's Harry Potter The premiere of the series is planned for 2026.
