Antiques Roadshow fans recognize “famous guest” in seconds | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Viewers of the latest episode of Antiques Roadshow were shocked to spot a familiar face among the guests. Broadcasting from Derbyshire, BBC presenter Fiona Bruce joined a team of experts to uncover treasures from across the UK.

But it was one guest who particularly caught the attention of viewers; fans were convinced that she bore a striking resemblance to a celebrity. Renowned expert Frances Christie, who is well versed in modern British art, could not contain her excitement when she introduced two exquisite boat paintings by Richard Euriche, an artist she loved.

But it wasn't just the expert who was enthusiastic about the works of art – the public also speculated eagerly about the owner of the paintings and wondered whether it was actually the actress Isobel Middleton, famous for her roles in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Menace and Cracker. Isobel has also been the wife of soap opera veteran Jane Hazlegrove, formerly known for Casualty and Coronation Street, since 2015.

The valuation of the painting astonished everyone: Frances Christie estimated the value of one piece at £10,000 to £15,000, the other was even higher, at £15,000 to £20,000.

When the story of the artworks was revealed, the guest said: “My great aunt and her husband were early friends and supporters of Richards and they bought these at the beginning of his career to support him,” reports Birmingham Live.

The revelation of its value left the guest speechless: “I am truly speechless about it.”

Finally, the guest spoke about the care and future plans of the valuable works of art and said: “I will treat them with care. I would prefer to have them in a gallery where everyone can enjoy them, but perhaps I will keep them for a while.”

Curious viewers flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their thoughts. Louise asked: “Is the lady with the boat paintings an actress?” Lynne agreed, commenting: “Isn't she an actress? I'm sure it's Bernie, Corrie's wife in real life!” and adding the claim: “I think it's Isobel Middleton. She's been in a few things. Most recently, I think, Emmerdale.”

Meanwhile, @BertaW tweeted her astonishment: “Who is she? She looks so familiar?”

Antiques Roadshow airs Sundays at 8pm on BBC1.
