Tefi Butt's brother-in-law killed in Lahore

A new twist occurred in the Amir Balaj case when unidentified assailants opened fire and shot dead Javed Butt in a shootout on Lahore's busiest Canal Road.

Who was Javed Butt?

Javed Butt was the brother-in-law of Tefi Butt, who himself was accused in the Amir Balaj murder case.

The shooting incident occurred on Canal Road, in which the deceased's wife sustained injuries.

The police team arrived at the scene and the injured woman was taken to the hospital.

Ahsan Shah killed in crossfire

Ahsan Shah, the accused and best friend of Ami Balaj, was shot dead in a shootout a few days ago when the police took him along to identify and recover a weapon in a case in which he was nominated.

Shortly after the killing, her mother and wife, as well as a group of family friends and relatives, raised their voices, and Ahsan Shah's wife and mother in particular, described Shah's killing as a police murder.

Amir Balaj shot dead

In February, Ameer Balaj Tipu, the son of Arif Ameer, also known as Tipu Truckanwala, was shot dead on Sunday evening in a suspected targeted killing in the Chuhng area of ​​Lahore.

Police alleged that Balaj, in his early 30s, was attending the wedding ceremony of the son of a former DPS officer in a housing estate in Chuhng when a gunman opened fire on him, seriously wounding him.

Three other men who accompanied Balaj were also injured, according to police. However, return fire from Balaj's gunmen also killed the attacker.

All four injured were taken to Jinnah Hospital, where Balaj succumbed to his injuries. According to media reports, doctors said he suffered four gunshot wounds to the chest and died of severe bleeding.

After the three were taken to the hospital, a large contingent of police officers, including high-ranking officials, arrived there too, fearing possible clashes as there had been hostilities between Balaj and his family for at least three generations.

Elected PML-N MP Attaullah Tarar also rushed to the hospital after receiving the news.
