Thornaby man denies murder in suspected stabbing in Stockton

Adam Mackintosh, 28, appeared at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday, June 24, following a reported incident on Wrensfield Road.

At around 6.40pm, police and ambulances were called to the street after a 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries. He later died in hospital.

Mackintosh, of Coral Grove, Thornaby, denies the charges and was remanded in custody pending his next court appearance.

As previously reported, a large cordon was erected across Stainmore Close following the alleged incident. Pictures show several police officers manning the blue and white tape.

Later, forensic investigators were filmed searching the street, placing tracer markers on the ground and taking photographs.

A separate cordon was also set up in Coral Grove – police later confirmed that such a connection existed.

Mackintosh was told that his trial would begin in the week beginning December 2 this year.
