Arrests after stabbing in Bournemouth town centre

The man, in his twenties, was taken to hospital after a stabbing was reported at 6.20pm on Monday, August 26.

His injuries were reportedly not life-threatening.

A 17-year-old boy from East Dorset and a 16-year-old boy from Bournemouth were both arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The 17-year-old was released pending investigation, while the 16-year-old was released on bail pending investigation.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.

Detective Inspector Chris Bradford of BCP CID said: “We continue to conduct detailed investigations and have now made two arrests.”

“I would ask anyone who has information about this incident and has not yet spoken to officers to please contact Dorset Police.”
