Police release CCTV footage after attack on toilet in Winsford pub

The attack took place on Friday 31 May at the Hive pub and music venue in Winsford.

A 31-year-old man who was in the pub with friends was attacked by an unknown assailant who punched him in the face as he was leaving the toilet.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered multiple fractures to his cheek and eye socket.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and investigating officers have released a surveillance image of a man they are keen to identify.

In June, police released a surveillance image of a man in connection with the incident, after which a man came forward.

Detective Constable Kelly Mitchell, of Northwich CID, said: “The victim in this case has sustained serious injuries so we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident themselves or has any information that could assist our investigation.”

“We would also like to contact the man in the surveillance images directly as we believe he may have important information that could assist us in our investigation.”
