Man charged with rape and sexual abuse of children

Lloyd Davies, from Cae Coed in Llandybie, appeared before Swansea Crown Court charged with a series of sexual offences against two young girls.

It was alleged that Davies raped a girl several times in the Ammanford area between 2012 and 2019.

He was also charged with two misdemeanors of inducing a child to engage in sexual activity, which involved allegations that he forced the girl to touch his penis during the same period.

The court found that the plaintiff was between six and 13 years old.

Davies was also charged with sexually abusing a second child in 2018 when he was 10 or 11 years old.

He was also charged with taking an indecent photograph of a child relating to a Category A image between January 2021 and December 2022.

The 28-year-old defendant pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Judge Paul Thomas KC set a trial date of March 24 next year. Davies was released on bail until that date.
