Victor Osimhen must undergo a medical at Galatasaray before moving from Naples on loan

Victor Osimhen has to undergo a medical examination at Galatasaray after agreeing to loan the striker to Napoli.

Personal terms and conditions also apply for a seasonal contract that contains neither an option nor an obligation to purchase the Nigerian international.

The terms include a termination clause in January that would ensure Galatasaray receives a transfer fee in return for Osimhen's departure.

Galatasaray vice president Ibrahim Hatipoglu and football director Cenk Ergun are still in Italy working on the final talks. The plan is to fly the striker to Istanbul on a private jet shortly and complete the planned transfer.

Galatasaray won the Turkish Süper Lig for the 24th time last season, but failed to qualify for the Champions League after being eliminated in the playoffs by Young Boys.

Osimhen moved from Lille to Napoli in 2020 and scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for the Italian club.

He played a key role in Napoli's historic 2022–23 Serie A title win, their first in 33 years, scoring 26 goals in 32 league games.

Although his goalscoring rate dropped in the 2023/24 season and Napoli finished only 10th and 41 points behind champions Inter, he still managed to score 17 goals in all competitions.
