Early morning crash

A 23-year-old driver caused an accident in Reute on Saturday, August 31st, causing significant material damage. He was driving on the main road towards Emmendingen at around 7:20 a.m. After the junction with the road Im Winkel, he came far to the right in a left-hand bend and collided with a car parked on the side of the road. The force of the impact pushed the car onto the car parked in front of him. The driver and the 29-year-old passenger were slightly injured in the accident. The police estimate the material damage at around 21,000 euros. The person who caused the accident appeared to be drunk. Blood was taken from him and his driver's license was confiscated.
