Latest fight updates and results: The undisputed champion defends his title in Tokyo

Naoya Inoue will face TJ Doheny today in Tokyo and defend his undisputed super bantamweight title against the Irishman.

Inoue is arguably the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, with an undefeated record and a staggering knockout rate. The 31-year-old Japanese has effortlessly won most of his fights to date, becoming the undisputed champion in two weight classes – and has held titles in four divisions in total.

However, last time out he suffered the biggest defeat of his life when he was knocked down in the first round by Luis Nery in May. However, the 'Monster' bounced back impressively and knocked Nery down in rounds two, five and six, and the final knockdown ended the fight.

Next up for Inoue is Doheny, a veteran southpaw who travels to Inoue's backyard looking to pull off an upset victory. The 37-year-old comes to Tokyo with a professional record of 26-4 (20 knockouts), while Inoue is 27-0 (24 KOs).
