15-year-old hit and killed while crossing Veterans Memorial Parkway

The Clark County Coroner has confirmed that a 15-year-old was struck and killed Tuesday morning while attempting to cross the Veterans Memorial Parkway in Winchester.

The accident is said to have involved a school bus. No further information about the accident has been released.

Clark County Public Schools was responding to a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday morning at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Ironworks and reportedly involved a school bus.

“Please keep everyone involved in your thoughts and prayers as we process this terrible event,” the district schools said in a post.

Winchester Police report that the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Ironworks Road is closed due to an accident with injuries Tuesday morning.

According to a Facebook post, the road will remain closed for an unknown period of time.

A team from LEX 18 is on its way to the crime scene to obtain further information.
