Prince Harry is reportedly working on returning to his family – and thus to his homeland. But is he doing that?

Prince Harry's (39) relationship with his family continues to be the subject of speculation. Shortly before his big birthday on September 15, rumors are circulating in Great Britain that Harry could be working on a royal comeback and a partial return home. But while some believe this, others completely rule out this possibility.

From US exile back to England?

The 39-year-old lives with his wife Duchess Meghan (43) and their children in Montecito, California. In 2020, the couple withdrew from the ranks of the working royals and moved to North America. This was followed by some extreme criticism of the royal family from the two, for example in Harry's autobiography “Reserve”. However, the “Mail on Sunday” recently reported, citing anonymous sources, that Harry is probably planning an art comeback.

He is said to have sought advice from trusted people “from his old life” in Great Britain. This is the first phase of a strategy to rehabilitate Harry. This envisages him spending more time at home – but there is no talk of a permanent return to England. The aim is probably to improve his relationship with his father, King Charles III (75), and possibly also to achieve a return to the family. However, Prince Harry's relationship with his father has been difficult for years, and his relationship with his older brother and heir to the throne, Prince William (42), has even been completely cold.

And his public image has also been tarnished. However, a friend of Harry's has already worked out a strategy for the return of the royal living in the USA in British circles. As a result, he could initially very easily carry out public duties without much fuss and publicity – which could also increase his reputation among the people again.

But “no interest” from Prince Harry?

However, sources at the BBC and the Telegraph see things differently. According to the British public broadcaster, well-informed circles have claimed that the Duke of Sussex is neither planning a permanent move back home nor a gradual return to royal life.

The Telegraph also says, citing relevant sources, that no comeback is planned. Harry has “no interest” in returning to his duties in Great Britain and is concentrating exclusively on his future in the United States. It remains to be seen what insider rights they will retain.
