GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers have added several new faces to their 53-man roster for the 2024 season.

Following NFL-mandated roster cuts on Tuesday, the team announced its initial 53-man roster.

There is a new backup quarterback, two running backs hoping to move up, and a kicker looking to prove his reliability.

Here's a look at the new players who weren't on the 53-man roster or practice squad last season:

Malik Willis, quarterback

Willis comes to Green Bay after beginning his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans. He has served as a backup in both of his seasons, playing behind Ryan Tannehill in 2022 and Will Levis in 2023. He is expected to fill the same role for Jordan Love.

He has appeared in 11 games with three starts over his career and has gone 1-2 as a starter. In his career, he has 350 passing yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions, with 144 rushing yards and one score.

The 25-year-old Willis finished the preseason with 20 of 27 passes for 205 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He had 101 rushing yards.

The Packers acquired Willis from the Titans for a seventh-round draft pick.

Josh Jacobs, running back

Jacobs, the 2022 rushing champion and NFL first-team All-Pro selection, spent five seasons with the Raiders.

In the offseason, he signed a four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers.

Jacobs has rushed for 5,545 yards and scored 46 touchdowns on 1,305 carries during his career. He also has 1,448 receiving yards.

The 26-year-old managed a seven-yard run last season.

MarShawn Lloyd, running back

Lloyd was selected 88th in the 2024 NFL Draft after rushing for 820 yards and nine touchdowns at USC in 2023.

Due to AJ Dillon's season-ending injury, Lloyd is expected to compete with Emanuel Wilson for the backup running back position behind Jacobs.

Lloyd missed the start of training camp due to a hip injury and will be out for nearly three weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained in the season opener.

His status for Week 1 is unclear, but since the Packers have not placed him on the injured list, his return appears likely soon.

Jordan Morgan, offensive lineman

Morgan was selected 25th in the 2024 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year, $14.1 million rookie contract.

He played college football for the University of Arizona, his home state, where he was named to the All-Pac-12 first team.

In college, he played primarily as a left tackle and now fights for playing time as a right guard.

Andre Dillard, Tackle

Dillard was drafted by the Eagles in 2019 and spent four seasons there before playing for the Titans last season.

He has appeared in 59 games and started 19 times over the course of his career, including a career-high 10 starts as left tackle for Tennessee last season in 16 games.

Dillard is the left tackle on the squad along with Rasheed Walker and Kadeem Telfort.

Jacob Monk, offensive lineman

Monk was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft after five years at Duke. He received All-ACC honors in his final season.

During his studies, he demonstrated versatility and alternated between playing center and right guard.

Monk supports Elgton Jenkins at guard and Josh Myers at center.

Travis Glover, offensive lineman

The Packers selected Glover in the sixth round to add depth at the tackle position.

He was a five-year starter for Georgia State and also showed his skills at various spots on the offensive line. In a total of 57 starts, he played 35 times as left tackle, 18 times as right tackle and four times as left guard.

Edgerrin Cooper, Linebacker

Cooper has struggled with injuries since arriving in Green Bay, but has shown promise as a weakside linebacker.

Cooper played behind Isaiah McDuffie, was used frequently during training camp and was on track to play in the season opener against the Eagles.

He missed three weeks due to a hip injury and is now in the process of returning.

Cooper was selected 45th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft after earning SEC and All-American honors at Texas A&M.

Ty’Ron Hopper, linebacker

Hopper comes to the Packers as a third-round draft pick after playing for Florida and Missouri at the collegiate level.

He earned a spot on the roster after a solid preseason with 10 solo tackles. He will add depth with Quay Walker at middle linebacker.

Xavier McKinney, Security

McKinney was selected by the Giants in the 2020 NFL Draft and spent four seasons with the Giants before the Packers signed him to a four-year, $67 million contract in the offseason.

After a strong 2023 season, he was considered the best safety available. He played in every game in New York and set career highs in tackles (116) and passes defended (11). He also intercepted three passes.

McKinney is the expected starter at free safety for new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley.

Javon Bullard, Security

Bullard made a strong impression in his rookie season and was named to the first team as a strong safety.

After a standout college career at Georgia, he was selected 58th overall to Green Bay, winning two national championships and being named the 2023 Defensive MVP in the championship game.

Bullard had three total tackles in limited reps this preseason.

Evan Williams, Security

Williams was selected by the Packers in the fourth round of the draft and began his college career at Fresno State before playing his fifth and final season at Oregon.

Williams has earned some playing time behind Bullard as a safety, including forcing a fumble in a preseason game against the Browns.

Kitan Oladapo, Security

Oladapo, a fifth-round draft pick in 2024, is another safety looking to make an impact on defense.

He missed all of rookie minicamp, OTAs, mandatory minicamp and the start of training camp while recovering from toe surgery, but Oladapo has made an impression. Coach Matt LaFleur said the former Oregon State star has shown “continuous improvement” on defense and special teams.

Brayden Narveson, kicker

The Packers signed Narveson this week after a strong preseason with the Titans.

He finished the preseason with 6 of 7 field goals, including a 59-yard kick and a 46-yard kick to win against the Seahawks, and also made both of his extra points.

Narveson played five years of college football, competing for Iowa State (2018-19), Western Kentucky (2020-22) and North Carolina State (2023).
