Unusual crash: Bus crashes through hedge and into car and trailer in Anröchte

An accident occurred in Anröchte on Tuesday involving a bus carrying schoolchildren. The bus driver and a 14-year-old schoolgirl were injured.

According to the police, an accident occurred on Tuesday at around 4:20 p.m. on Mittelstrasse in Anröchte, a municipality in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia. A 40-year-old woman from Lippstadt was driving a bus along Mittelstrasse in the direction of Schützenstrasse. There were several passengers on the bus, including schoolchildren.

Bus accident in Anröchte: Student and bus driver injured

For reasons that are still unclear, the bus suddenly veered off the road to the right, broke through a hedge and collided with a car parked on the property behind it, as well as a trailer. A 14-year-old schoolgirl from Anröchte was slightly injured in the crash. The bus driver also suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to hospital for further treatment. The bus was impounded. The traffic police have begun further investigations into the cause of the accident.
