“Pannonia Fight Storm”: Top-class boxing comes to Eisenstadt

With the “Pannonia Fight Storm” brings real professional boxing to Burgenland on September 14th. Boxing gala presents eleven fights, with champions of tomorrow and international professionals. It's all happening in one go in the ice rink in Eisenstadt, which will be transformed into a fighting arena.

The venue is the Sports center at Bad Kissingen-Platz, whose ice rink will become a boxing arena for the fight night. A ring measuring almost seven by seven metres will be placed in the middle of the ice rink. “The best conditions for hosting professional fights,” says Werner LederhasChairman of the non-profit association Boxteam Vienna Eisenstadt and organizer.

Boxing elite as guests

When the gong rings promptly at 7pm to open the first fight, things happen in quick succession: 22 athletes There will be eight newcomer and three professional fights in front of an audience, from junior to professional level, from featherweight to heavyweight and from junior to general class. The six professional boxers will fight for clubs from five nations under the supervision of the Austrian Fist Fighting Association. Among them is Austria's youngest professional boxer.

The previously unbeaten Denise Stonaev will be boxing her first fight with a professional license in the only women's fight of the evening – against number 29 in the European rankings. The ring announcer will be none other than the director of the World Kickboxing Federation, Fritz Exenberger.

Young talent from Eisenstadt
