Teenager arrested after damaging Jaguar in Calne

A 15-year-old boy from Calne was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

He was taken into custody in Melksham and has since been released pending further investigations.

According to Wiltshire Police, the rear window of a black Seat Ateca was damaged in The Knapp, Calne, between approximately 2am and 5am on 1 September.

In a second incident in Horsebrook, officers were called after the windshield of a Hyundai ix20 was damaged.

Initial investigations on site revealed that further damage had also been caused to a Mini Cooper and a Jaguar parked nearby.

Police would like to speak to witnesses or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage.

A spokesman said: “We are urgently appealing for witnesses following several incidents of criminal damage in the Calne area.

“We would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone who has CCTV or dashboard cameras in the affected areas.
