“I want to thank the wonderful Brittany Mahomes for defending me so vigorously and the fact that MAGA is the largest and most powerful political movement in the history of our now failing country,” Trump wrote.

“With crime and illegal immigration completely out of control, inflation plaguing all Americans, and a world laughing at the stupidity of our hapless 'leaders,' it's nice to see someone who loves our country and wants to save it from ruin. What a great couple – see you both at the Super Bowl!”

Brittany Mahomes' apparent “likes” on social media have sparked a storm of outrage in recent weeks. She first showed her support for Trump on August 13, when she “liked” Trump's Instagram post outlining the “2024 GOP platform.”

The swimsuit model then seemed to respond to the criticism in her Instagram stories.

“I mean, honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have deep-rooted issues that you've been refusing to heal since childhood,” she wrote. “There's no reason why you hate when your brain is fully developed and you hate when others are doing well.”

She posted another cryptic message on her social media.

“Contrary to the tone of the world today… you can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have different views and still be kind,” she wrote on August 26. “Read that again!”

Mahomes was subsequently caught liking supportive comments about her stance.

“I think the most important thing he's always told me is, 'Stop caring what people think, especially people who don't even know you,'” she said. “I used to be very preoccupied with social media, and now it's honestly like, I don't give a shit what people say about me, and I think he's helped me get to the point where I'm strong in who I am, I'm confident in who I am, and I'm confident in my relationship and his – and I'm confident in our life. So why does it even have to matter what other people say?”
